Environetix Technologies Corp. is a technology transfer start‐up company that has emerged from the high temperature microwave acoustic technology developed in the Laboratory for Surface Science & Technology (LASST) at the University of Maine.
Environetix provides wireless solutions to the challenges of sensing temperature, pressure, vibration, strain and corrosion in harsh and extreme environments. Environetix was formed in 2009 in response to the significant interest the U.S. Air Force (USAF) expressed in commercializing the ground-breaking research performed in partnership with UMaine and LASST. Environetix is pursuing the development and commercialization of harsh environment sensor system solutions for the USAF and the U.S. Army as initial customers. Environetix is also rapidly advancing its technology and business model toward commercialization with public and private partners.
The company was profitable in 2010, and is projecting profitability in 2011, as well.
